As educators, we know that valuable resources, such as time, funding, and robust professional learning, can be hard to come by. Implementation of a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) is a way to organize and use those limited resources to improve outcomes for all students. Learn more about MTSS and supports provided through BRIDGE-RI now! Explore our site through the brief video provided here. Our website is free and easy to use. You do not need an account to access information however, If you are interested in earning certificates for course completion and Professional Learning Units (PLUs), you'll need to create a free account. Anyone interested in learning more about MTSS can create a free account, including educators not currently working in a school or district, out-of-state educators, pre-service educators, or family members. If you are interested in earning certificates of course completion for Professional Learning Units (PLUs), you'll need an account to enroll and complete online courses through BRIDGE-RI. Please note that anyone interested in learning more about MTSS can create a free account, including educators not currently working in a school or district, out-of-state educators, pre-service educators, or family members. However, you do not need an account to access any information freely available on the mtssri.org website. To create an account follow the steps in the video below or access a PDF version of these directions which you can download, print, and/or share to your Google Drive.

Established in 2019 and launched statewide in early 2020, BRIDGE-RI is the new home for all things Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) in the state of Rhode Island. BRIDGE-RI provides no-cost, readily available professional learning when you need it. If you have a training need for the educators in your district, tap into existing courses for support.  Additional benefits to accessing professional learning on BRIDGE-RI includes:
  • All educators receive consistent messaging and common language to build strong systems so that individuals in different roles are on the same page.
  • Anyone can create an account and enroll in courses, making high quality professional learning available to individuals or groups of teachers, coaches, department chairs, and administrators, to complete on their own time and at their own pace.
  • You can identify and preview courses that align to district and school improvement goals, as well as professional learning plans. Courses can be utilized to blend online and face-to-face support for your educators with BRIDGE-RI courses as a strong foundation and common starting place.
  • BRIDGE-RI can be easily shared with other district administrators as a source of professional learning vetted by RIDE and approved for earning PLUs.
BRIDGE-RI provides no-cost, readily available professional learning on topics that appeal to special educators, related service providers, and paraprofessionals. If you have a training need for the special educators in your district, tap into existing courses for support! Additional benefits to accessing professional learning on BRIDGE-RI includes:
  • All educators receive consistent messaging and common language to build strong systems, so both general educators and special educators are hearing the same message about a tiered system of supports for all students.
  • General educator and administrator use of BRIDGE-RI will improve Tier 1 academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports, improving outcomes for students who are differently abled.
