MTSS RI and the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE)

MTSS RI has provided training, technical assistance, and coaching to schools and districts in Rhode Island for over a decade. We continue to be the primary resource for MTSS in Rhode Island on behalf of the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE). RIDE supports MTSS Rhode Island and BRIDGE-RI with federal IDEA Part B funds to improve outcomes for all students, including differently abled students. BRIDGE-RI participates in RIDE Professional Learning Resources (PLR) and aligns with the Rhode Island Professional Learning Standards (RIPLS). MTSS-RI ensures professional learning aligns with RIDE initiatives and best practices, supporting high-quality curriculum, all students, including diverse learners and students with disabilities, and educator excellence.

MTSS provides a foundation of intervention supports through the Office of Students, Community, and Academic Supports (OSCAS), including Math Intervention with the American Institutes for Research (AIR), Data-Based Individualization (DBI) through the National Center on Intensive Intervention (NCII), and the School Climate Transformation Grant.
