This course was designed as a prerequisite for Rhode Island educators to establish common language and conceptual understanding of the MTSS framework. It assists educators in developing a foundational understanding of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports before participating in other courses on BRIDGE-RI.
For RIDE staff, we have added interactive engagement features designed to foster collaborative conversations about MTSS at the state level. This course is only available to RIDE staff through an enrollment key.
At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Explain the preventative “why” behind an MTSS approach to school improvement.
- Define MTSS and its core components.
- Understand how a data-based, problem-solving culture is integral to the framework.
- Reflect on how building a tiered model should be informed by Implementation Science.
In addition, RIDE staff will gain a deeper understanding of how individuals at the state level engage with one another and the field around MTSS.
If you have not received an enrollment key, please contact Michele Walden-Doppke.
